Recife –>Cumbuco
6.10.2011
Woke up at 3o’clock in the morning and then we startet our trip to Cumbuco. It was a long journey and we arrived in the afternoon. We just had dinner in a very small ‘restaurant’, cheap and ok! Looking forward to tomorrow, riding in the lagoon!!! Can’t wait to go there!

Felt good to be back on the water after 3 days! Unfortunately the conditions had been very rough and the water smelled like hell but it was ok all in all. Last session in Recife!

The strong programm is going on… today we went horseriding! Sounds pretty gay but it was really awesome! We went straight through the jungle with those tall and strong horses and had a lot of fun. I lost three times control over the horse and almost felt down on the ground. You also had to watch out for all the trees otherwise you got a huge headnut…Very exciting! We also went through small rivers and rode hills up and down.

We nearly spent the whole day @Axel’s house looking for the cheapest way to get to Cumbuco. It took us nearly 5 hours. That’s the plan: here in Brasil they have really expensive prices for one way renting, so we looked for somebody who brings our car back to Recife. In the evening we went to an aerobic lesson in the gym! That was fun, because Andi and specially me we had big problems with the choreogaphy as you can imagine

For today something special is planed! At first we went with Axel to the harbour to his boat. But it’s not just a easy boat, it has a jet engine and goes icredibly fast, you will see in the video! We drove to the Bacardi island and through the mangroven and it felt like being in a James Bond movie
After a long trip we prepared for the next highlight: driving with 35 ps carts!!! That was so amazing! I have never felt so much power in a vehicle. It was all about drifting, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 3 seconds and if you went to fast in the curves you and your car made an 360. A great day came to an end in an excellent restaurant with typical brasilian food and a lot of beer.
01.10.2011:
On Thursday we are going to go to cumbuco but what’s the best way to get there? By airplane is quite expensive specially with so much luggage. Surprinsingly driving by bus is nearly equaly expensive. So we wanted to rent a car but those dirty bastards offer cars for 40 euros a day which would be perfect but they also want to have 600euros for bringing the car back to Recife because we’re just going to drive one way Recife-Fortaleza. We’ll see!
Today wasn’t that much wind again so we went out for some gay cruising, looking forward to the next days!
In the evening we had a really good barbeque at Axel’s villa, definitly a highlight!
